Cover Reveal: Submerged (Home #1)
I'm so freaking excited to reveal the cover of Submerged, book one of the Home series!
For those who know me from Twitter, you might understand why this cover is a dream come true for me. It all has to do with the stunning man gracing it, Mr. Caleb King, and the talent of Mr. Inked Kenny capturing such a poignant moment.
I initially had the image earmarked for book 3 of the Shire Boys series, had written the story using Caleb's physical characteristics. When I received it, though, and spent long minutes gazing adoringly at it, I made the decision that it needed its own story, something different from what I had originally planned.
A story of two men came to mind--of course! Both a little broken, at low points in their lives, trying to keep themselves afloat amongst all the bullshit and bad luck trying to push them under and make it hard to draw breath, see any kind of hope of surviving. Gavin and Jared's story is darker than anything I've ever written, but I felt like it was something that needed to be shared. I've had those same feelings sometimes, like I'm finally get my feet under me only to be swept back out of my depth, and having to be strong and keep our heads above water until we can stand solid again.
Submerged is a story of hope, of fate finally giving you a break and bringing someone into your life that fills all the gaping wounds and puts you on the path to healing. Of two men who each bring something to the other to make them a solid unit, a family.
Massive thanks to Meg from Bawd Designs for working with me to create this masterpiece. I had her shaking in her boots when I told her she was to be my dream maker and she weaved her magic and delivered beyond my expectations. Make sure to check her out on Facebook, she does awesome stuff!
Also thanks to Caleb King and Inked Kenny for being so gracious, and as excited as I am about the book. Amazingly humble men doing awesome things :)
Submerged is due to be released in February to celebrate one year of being a published author. It has truly been a life-changing experience that I am thankful every single day I took a leap of faith and accomplished.
